Bookmarklets for Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and Opera

Bookmarklets are bookmarks which contain small programs. Like other bookmarks, too, they can be placed in the personal toolbar of most modern browsers. Our bookmarklets allow you to mark acronyms in a website and decipher them directly by clicking on the bookmarklet. will be opened in a separate window to show you the result of your query. If no text was marked on clicking, an input box shows up in which you can enter the acronym you want to know about.
The bookmarklets on this page are hiding in the following links. Just pick the right link for your browser and drag it onto your personal toolbar. If this does not work, find out about the usage of bookmarks and the personal toolbar in your browser's manual.
Internet Explorer: abkuerzungen.de
Netscape/Mozilla: abkuerzungen.de
The bookmarklet for Opera unfortunately does not support the deciphering of marked text. It only offers you to enter your acronym in the input box.
Also it is possible that the bookmarklets do not work with older browser versions. Just give it a try!
